                  McDonald’s Restaurants Plan to Expand and Tweak Menu Offerings





                         In the  near  future, McDonald’s restaurants plan to expand their promoted value-priced items and tweak their menu offerings. Specifically, it will debut an “Extra Value Menu” that includes 20-piece  chicken   McNuggets,   double cheeseburgers, snack wraps and a variety of other items. All items will be priced above $1 and many below $2. Neil Golden, chief marketing officer of McDonald’s USA, believes this menu will spotlight items already available to customers, making them easier to find.

                       McDonald’s is also focusing on making its Happy Meals healthier by advertising fruit and other ingredients to promote the quality of its food. McDonald’s success stems from its ability to appeal to a wide range of customers. Its Dollar Menu, Extra Value Menu and revamped kid’s meals allow customers a wide variety of food at a very reasonable price. When you combine all these factors together, McDonald’s is a force to be reckoned with in the fast food industry.
